Williamson House
303 Park Hill Drive
Exterior wall faces and turns reveal the simple interior plan of this residence, nestled into a mature landscape of tall oaks and lush ground cover. Individual rooms radiate like a series of shed-roofed pavilions around a two-story core. Vertical accents rival the trees through tall chimneys of Mexican brick, board-and-batten siding of stained cedar, slender window units, and banks of French doors. The horizontal earth is confirmed by the gently-sloping roofs covered with flat Saltillo tiles. The combined effect reveals a contemporary interpretation of the Arts and Crafts Movement from the early 1900s.
