Stowers House
131 West Lynwood Avenue
Yet another variant of the ever-popular Spanish Colonial Revival style, the Stowers House relies on changes in fenestration to emphasize the style’s asymmetrical nature. The inset entrance, with its extremely attenuated Solomonic columns, is the sole penetration into the mass of the house, while the polygonal bay forming its east end attempt to break out of the generally rectangular form.
