Impact on San Antonio
The Classical entablature, & well considered proportions of the Greek Revival house suited the neoclassical ideas of the German emigrants and connected San Antonio to the Architecture of the Gulf Coast and American South. The San Antonio Greek Revival house often sat on a raised plinth and had a five bay Doric front porch.
